Artisan Finishes won the Dallas Design Community Designers’ Choice Award for Decorative Finishes/ Faux Finishes. Thank you ASID for recognizing your Industry Partners. Thank you Luxe Interiors + Design for sponsoring the award, and Park Place Maserati for hosting the event.
Thank you to the Artisan Finishes team.
Chad Paulson joined us in the beginning two years ago. He played a key part in our project with Astleford Interiors taping lots of lines and doing subtle grey stripes, then he went on the road to Beaumont for a custom strie Texston plaster with mica fleck, and finally he shared his skills on our Venetian plaster job for Sandy Hale at a residence at the Ritz Carlton.
Rachel Tucker, aka my babysitter, came on as our intern the summer of 2011 and was back for a repeat 2012. She played a supporting role in the giant concrete bollards getting their color, did grueling data entry, and helped on Susan Mocks faux limestone makeover. She also made the announcement of our prize winner at Metrocon.
Lastly Samantha Murray joined us. We met her on a Patricia Crocker project. Sam was upstairs painting a mural and Chad and I were downstairs gilding the fireplace wall. Later we joined Sam on a project with Sharon Flatley. Sam then took the lead on an Artisan Finishes project for Kim Turner, refinishing a fathers childhood furniture for his son and creating a princess perfect collection of furniture with Anne Sloan’s Chalk paint for the daughter.
I am grateful for having such a wonderful team and being able to work with such talented designers.
